Terms and Conditions & Terms of Membership

The Millinery and Business Academy
Last updated: 5th March 2026
These terms govern your purchase and use of the The Millinery and Business Academy membership ("the Membership") provided by The Millinery and Business Academy ("we", "us", "the Company"). By purchasing the Membership, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. What the Membership includes

Your Membership gives you access to:
  • The online course portal and all courses currently included within the Membership tier you've purchased
  • The private Millinery and Business Academy Facebook Group
  • Live workshops and calls hosted via Zoom (where scheduled)
Access to all of the above is available to active members 24 hours a day, for as long as your Membership remains active. Course and community content may be added to, updated, or removed from time to time as part of the ongoing Membership offering.

The Membership does not grant you a licence to download course content. Content remains available to view online for as long as you are an active member; it is not provided as a downloadable file.

2. Payment and renewal

  • The Membership is billed on a recurring basis (monthly, six monthly or annually, depending on the plan you select) and will automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. Payment for the Services shall be taken via your chosen payment method, immediately for any setup fee that corresponds to the service plan you purchased and at the same day of each subsequent month (“billing cycle”) for charges accrued during the previous month (“billing cycle”) AND/OR as indicated in the order confirmation you received.
  • We may add in a three month renewal in the future for new members if they prefer this, all will be notified before that happens.
  • Please ensure you have sufficient funds available for your renewal payment. If a payment fails, the payment system will attempt to take payment again; if it continues to fail, your Membership will be automatically cancelled. If this was a mistake and you'd like to remain a member, please contact us as soon as possible at Katherine@katherineelizabethhats.com.

3. Cancellation policy

  • You may cancel your Membership at any time via your account portal, free of charge, and with no penalty.
  • Cancelling stops your next renewal payment. It does not entitle you to a refund for the period you've already paid for.
  • If you cancel before your renewal date, you will keep full access to the Membership (portal, courses, Facebook Group, and Zoom sessions) until the date your next renewal would have been due. After that date, your access to all Membership benefits will end, including removal from the private Facebook Group.
  • This cancellation policy applies equally to all Membership plan levels.
  • If you'd like our help cancelling your Membership (rather than doing it yourself via the portal), please contact us at least 14 working days before your renewal date, to give us time to action this before you're charged.

4. Cooling-off period and refunds

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of your initial purchase, during which you may cancel and receive a full refund.

Please note: because the Membership gives you instant access to digital content, if you access any course content, the Facebook Group, or any other Membership benefit during this 14-day period, you expressly acknowledge that you are requesting immediate performance of the service and waive your right to the cooling-off period and any associated refund from that point onward. We'd encourage you to consider carefully before accessing content if you think you may wish to cancel within the 14 days.

Outside of this initial 14-day window, no refunds are given for Membership fees already paid - cancellation simply stops future payments, as set out in Section 3.

5. Additional courses and one-off training

From time to time, we may offer additional courses, workshops, or training separate from the Membership, available for a one-off fee or via an instalment plan.
  • These are optional, separate purchases and are not covered by the Membership cancellation terms above.
  • The standard 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 applies to these purchases in the same way as described in Section 4 - including the waiver if you access the content within that period.
  • Where payment is made via an instalment plan, you are committing to complete all instalments as agreed at the time of purchase; access may be paused or withdrawn if instalments are not paid on time, but this does not cancel your obligation to complete the agreed payments unless we confirm otherwise in writing.
  • Refunds outside the cooling-off period are not offered for these additional courses unless we state otherwise for a specific course at the point of sale.

6. Membership conduct

By joining the Membership, you agree that you will not:
  • Use the Membership, portal, Facebook Group, or Zoom sessions to advertise, promote, or solicit business for your own products, services, or company, or to recruit other members to another business, programme, or opportunity
  • Share your login details or Membership access with anyone who is not a paying member
  • Invite, add, or otherwise facilitate access to the private Facebook Group for anyone who is not an active paying member - access to the Group is provided exclusively as a Membership benefit, and we reserve the right to remove any unauthorised member from the Group at our discretion
  • Download, screen-record, republish, or redistribute course content, Zoom recordings, or Facebook Group content outside of the Membership
  • Make false, defamatory, harassing, discriminatory, obscene, or threatening statements, or share others' personal information without their consent
  • Post content that infringes another person's copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights
  • Use the Membership for any unlawful purpose
We reserve the right to monitor Membership spaces, remove any content that breaches these terms, and suspend or terminate a member's access (without refund) for serious or repeated breaches.

Please see here for our community guidelines.

7. Zoom sessions

Live sessions may be recorded for members who cannot attend live, and made available within the Membership portal. By joining a live session, you consent to being recorded if you have your camera or microphone active. Recordings are for Membership use only and must not be downloaded or shared outside the Membership.
