How it works

Time is spent working directly on a hat or headpiece of your choice, with guidance at each stage of the making process.

You’re welcome to bring an idea, a piece in progress, or start something new in the studio. Ahead of your session, you may be asked to share a few details so everything is prepared for your time.

Full day - private tuition (in Studio)

A full day of in-person, one-to-one tuition focused on a single smaller or foundational piece.
   Options: Cocktail hats, Fascinators or bandeaux
   In person, one-on-one tuition by Katherine
   All materials provided
   Suitable for all levels (Tailored to your current level)

2 day - Private Tuition

A two-day studio intensive designed for more complex construction and advanced development.
   Options: Structured occasion hats or Sculptural or racing-style hats
  More advanced blocking and shaping
   In person, one-on-one tuition by Katherine
   2 full studio days (at Katherine's London Studio)

Online Sessions

A focused online session for feedback, problem-solving, or development guidance.
   90-minute live session with Katherine Elizabeth
   Support on a specific piece or technique
   Clear next steps to continue your work
   Perfect for those needing to get unstuck or get advice on finishing a piece

Meet your tutor

I design and make hats from my studio in London, where I work across couture commissions, collections, and creative education. Over the years, I’ve also built a global online academy to share both the technical and business side of millinery, from first stitches to running a sustainable creative practice.

My work sits between craft, sculpture, and function. I’m interested in shape, structure, and the way a piece changes how someone feels when they wear it.
